This is a statement that was read over the PA system at the football game at Roane County High School , Kingston , Tennessee , by school Principal, Jody McLeod
'It has always been the custom at Roane County High School football games, to say a prayer and play the National Anthem, to honor God and Country.'
Due to a recent ruling by the Supreme Court, I am told that saying a Prayer is a violation of Federal Case Law. As I understand the law at this time, I can use this public facility to approve of sexual perversion and call it 'an... MORE

Judge Roy Moore and Foundation for Moral Law Applaud Decision by 5th Circuit Court of Appeals in Tangipahoa Parish School Board Prayer Case
Judge Roy Moore and the Foundation for Moral Law are happy with the decision of the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals in Doe v. Tangipahoa Parish School District involving school board prayer which concluded the plaintiffs lacked standing in the case. The decision in the long-running case means that the Tangipahoa Parish School District in Louisiana, which has been sued several times by the ACLU for its repeated acknowledgments of God, will not be punished for prayers made at the beginning of school b... New York City (CNSNews.com) - It's not yet July 4, but the debate over displaying religious symbols at New York City public schools over the Christmas season already has begun.
Under previously approved policy, Christmas trees are displayed alongside the Jewish menorah and the Islamic star and crescent.
But New York City Councilman Tony Avella, Democrat, is calling on the city's Department of Education to amend the current policy by replacing the Christmas tree with a nativity scene. He plans to introduce a formal resolution in the fall.

Recent events at William and Mary, one of the oldest colleges in the United States, have sparked a flurry of protest from conservative students, faculty and alumni. The school, which not long ago removed a cross from display in a campus chapel, has now hosted a show featuring performances by people employed in sexually-oriented, adult entertainment jobs.

The just released movie, "Facing the Giants" is about a depressed football coach whose life takes a miraculous turn for the better due to his Faith in Jesus Christ. That encounter with God was enough for the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) to give the movie a PG-13 rating. MPAA explains the meaning of PG-13 is a "warning" to parents about some of the material their children may be exposed to in the film. There was a time in our country when faith
in Christ was seen as a source of strength, not a threat to children... MORE

(CNSNews.com) - A religious watchdog group is applauding school officials in Florida for agreeing to hold commencement exercises in "religiously neutral settings" instead of a church.
The Brevard County School Board voted Oct. 25 to settle a federal lawsuit brought by Americans United for Separation of Church and State on the behalf of Brevard County parents who were against the use of a church for high school graduations.
"Public school graduation ceremonies are a time to celebrate the academic achievement of all students," said the Rev. Barry Lynn, executive director of Americans United, in a statement. "It is heartening that the scho... MORE

Sacramento, CA—Following intervention by Pacific Justice Institute, a school district in Sacramento has refunded thousands of dollars it had unjustly taken from a local church.
Like many new congregations, the New Life Foursquare Church leased space in a Sacramento high school for its Sunday morning services. Until recently, the school charged the church higher rental fees than were charged to other non-profit organizations, solely because of the church’s religious nature. Concerned about this differing treatment, the church contacted Pacific Justice Institute. PJI lawyers wrote to the school explaining the unconstitutionality of the scho... MORE

(Parents, please don't let your kids read this; I wouldn't want the graphic description of this heinous act to scar them for life.)
Marcus Borden, a coach at East Brunswick High in New Jersey, resigned last week after being told by courageous administrators that he could no longer thank God in front of groups of impressionable teenagers. The parents of some of these kids complained about Borden's offensive prayers, saying it made their children "uncomfortable,"... MORE

While many teenagers seem to have a strong foundation for their faith, college students are slipping into doubt and insecurity. This conclusion brings new insight and motivation for ministers and teachers of teenagers and college students.
